Pamela Leal: Owner and Founder of Tembo Travel Africa
Pamela Leal's passion for wildlife and nature was ignited during her first visit to Africa in 2013. Captivated by the continent's beauty, rich ecosystems, and iconic wildlife, Pam knew she had to return.
In 2017, she embarked on a life-changing, two-week safari that took her to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's reintroduction areas in Umani Springs, Ithumba, and the majestic Maasai Mara.
Her deep connection to Africa continued to grow, and her next journey brought her back in 2019 as part of a medical mission in the Amboseli area. Since then, Pam has traveled to Africa almost every year, if not every two years, solidifying her expertise and love for the continent.
Pamela’s extensive knowledge and the strong relationships she’s built with key players in the travel and conservation sectors make her a formidable asset when it comes to planning your perfect African safari experience.
Her love for elephants, in particular, has inspired her to take an active role in conservation efforts. She has organized successful fundraising events in Texas to support elephant conservation, with proceeds benefiting the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pam's personal commitment to wildlife preservation, along with her extensive safari experience, makes her uniquely equipped to curate transformative journeys through Africa’s most stunning landscapes.
